Zoom Teeth Whitening comes from Philips, a leader in dentistry. It’s a product we trust here at R+R Dental in Hicksville, NY. Instead of using at-home treatments from various brands and having different results each time, Zoom utilizes a treatment system that we offer our patients. The  Zoom Teeth Whitening system is revolutionizing teeth whitening.

How Long Does Zoom Teeth Whitening Take?

The best part of Zoom Teeth Whitening is how long it doesn’t take. You won’t sit in our office for hours at a time. Instead, each session of teeth whitening takes between 45 minutes to one hour, with each additional session getting your teeth whiter and whiter. Coming in five times will only add up to five hours spent in our dental chair. You can get your teeth whitened without taking up all of your time!

How It Works

All you have to do is sit back, and our team, including Dr. Richer and Dr. Rivera, will do the rest. Here is the step-by-step process of how we use Zoom teeth whitening in our office:

  1. We’ll apply a layer of state-of-the-art whitening gel to your teeth. The gel has peroxide in it, which helps remove stains living on your teeth.
  2. We’ll set the WhiteSpeed LED lamp comfortably on your teeth. The light makes the whole process go by faster and ensures better results.
  3. We’ll repeat this process three times in a row during each session.
  4. You can come in and whiten your teeth according to the custom treatment plan we set up for you.
  5. We’ll also provide you with your very own whitening trays to use at home. This will help maintain your whiter teeth between treatments and help keep your teeth whiter over time.

How Many Shades Whiter Will Your Teeth Be?

The question of the hour is probably how many shades whiter we can get your teeth. While each patient’s results vary, it’s possible to achieve an eight-shade difference in just one session. Each additional session that you come for will get your teeth even whiter and brighter.

The darker and more stained your teeth are, the more prominent your results will be. While you might not notice that much of a difference at first, the change in your teeth will become more and more noticeable with time.

Is Zoom Teeth Whitening Safe?

The answer is a resounding YES! Zoom Teeth Whitening is absolutely safe, especially since it is done in our office. Our dentists are trained and skilled in their practice. They will take very good care of you.

The LED Lights

The LED lamp is one of the risks associated with having your teeth whitened. It’s not good for your body to be exposed to LED lights for long periods. That’s why we make sure that the lamp is only focused on your teeth. No other part of your face or mouth will be exposed to the light. That includes your gums and lips.

The Peroxide Gel

Additionally, we’ll make sure that the peroxide gel stays on your teeth where it belongs, and that it covers your whole tooth. The same holds true for all your teeth, molars and all. We’ll have all your teeth covered while preventing the peroxide gel from ending up on your gums and/or lips.

Safer than At-Home Treatments

Our process is safer than whitening your teeth at home. While whitening strips are popular, they can damage your teeth if they’re used too often. The ingredients aren’t as effective, either, so you might not get the results you want to see. If you’re not seeing the results you want, this could lead to excessively whitening and subsequently damaging your teeth without being aware of the damage.

No Post-Treatment Tooth Sensitivity

Long-lasting tooth sensitivity is another side effect of using over-the-counter whitening products. Zoom teeth whitening will not cause tooth sensitivity. You’ll leave our office with brighter, whiter teeth and no discomfort! Additionally, Zoom teeth whitening is safe for everyone, even if you have crowns or veneers.
